About the position

The Data Analyst will utilize Business Intelligence and Data Analytic best practices to provide timely and insightful information for monitoring route performance and informing service planning and scheduling. The role involves data gathering, summarization, preparation for geospatial and statistical analysis, and the development of reporting and visualization of business data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain methods and procedures to monitor and evaluate transit service performance.
• Develop detailed analysis and documentation from multiple data sources.
• Prepare and distribute reports at regular intervals.
• Collaborate with departments and consultants to ensure data integrity.
• Report transit statistics required of federal funding recipients into a national database.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in statistical analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases or SQL is required.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis software such as Excel, Crystal Reports, SPSS, SAS, or R is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and write reports.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 12 credit hours in math or statistics.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
