About the position
The Data Analytics Analyst position focuses on utilizing data visualization tools and programming languages to analyze and present data insights effectively. The role involves working with various data sources, performing ETL processes, and conducting statistical analysis to support multiple teams within the organization. This hybrid position requires both onsite and remote work, with a strong emphasis on generating and maintaining reports for distribution system operations.
Responsibilities
- Interface with Distribution Control Centers, engineering, planning, data analytics, and various committees.
- Maintain and create custom reports using C# / ASP.NET and Jasper Reports.
- Develop SQL queries and scripts to generate required reports.
- Analyze and verify the results of reports and queries.
- Update and migrate existing reporting web applications.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
- Skilled in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (C#, Java, Python, C++).
- Experience with building and reading complex SQL queries.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Math or related degree preferred.
