About the position

The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Technology Business Services team at Fisher Investments. This position involves building and maintaining the data warehouse utilized by the Private Client Group business, focusing on data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. The Data Engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective data visualization and reporting, while also providing operational support and incident management for data pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support the data warehouse for the Private Client Group business.
  • Design and develop extract workloads in Azure Data Factory.
  • Build dimensional and tabular models to support data and reporting solutions.
  • Define and establish data models and methods for populating data into various data repositories.
  • Provide operational support and incident/problem management for data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business teams to oversee data visualization and report generation.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to implement security and monitoring capabilities.
  • Use Agile practices to refine requirements and deliver enterprise data asset solutions.
  • Develop, configure, and manage integration tools and databases.
  • Design and deploy data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from various sources.

Requirements

  • 10 years' experience developing data-related solutions and software.
  • Experience with ETL and ELT tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Kafka, Spark, or MuleSoft.
  • Proficiency in database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages including C#, Java, Python, SQL, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure standards and tools, including application performance monitoring and DevOps software.
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field.
