About the position

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a motivated Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Intern for Spring 2025. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to support business intelligence initiatives that deliver meaningful insights to help drive decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success functions. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical skills and a strong interest in transforming data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and share data stories that convey clear, actionable insights for business leaders, aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Assist in creating queries and dashboards to support real-time data tracking and analysis.
• Participate in data validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of information provided to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management of Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Demonstrates a proactive, self-driven work ethic with a genuine curiosity for data and analytics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SQL, ideally Snowflake.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, conditional formatting).
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
• Experience with dashboarding solutions (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, or Tableau Einstein).
• Understanding of Git/version control basics (pull requests, branches).
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts (keys, joins, facts vs. dimensions).
