About the position

As an experienced Data Analytics Engineer at Clear Street, you will play a crucial role in building systems and services that support the Electronic Trading businesses. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing new features, creating reliable data pipelines, and enabling data-driven decision-making for key stakeholders. You will also mentor teammates and contribute to evolving technical standards and best practices within the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and services for Electronic Trading businesses.
• Build reliable data pipelines to ingest and transform large datasets from trading systems.
• Provide information to key stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making.
• Mentor teammates and help evolve technical standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with third-party service providers to aggregate data for reporting and analytics.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience with Python, SQL, and database design.
• Experience working with data warehouses like Snowflake to generate complex solutions at scale.
• Software design and development experience including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management.
• Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical business stakeholders and engineers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions.
• Professional experience with FIX protocol and understanding of pre-trade client analytics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial industry regulations like CAT (US) and MIFID (EU).
