About the position

The Data Analytics Engineer position within the Asset Management team focuses on developing and optimizing data mining and analytics for financial reporting. The role involves collaborating with business unit CFOs to analyze requirements and propose technical solutions, while enhancing technical, analytical, communication, and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner across finance to develop and optimize data mining and analytics for financial trends and initiatives.
• Aggregate and mine new and existing data sources to make them available for reporting and analytics.
• Develop clear and concise reports that identify strategic information and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
• Lead MIS initiatives/impacts and results discussions.
• Work within the existing data infrastructure to enhance the data available in our repository and optimize ongoing processes.
• Partner with finance and MIS teams to ensure the consistency and accuracy of data and reporting.
• Provide production support for the Essbase and SQL Server 2019 environments, including security, scheduled job maintenance, and quality control steps.
• Perform development duties within the SQL Server 2019 and Databricks environments, including current state improvements and the creation of new applications.
• Partner with the business to provide analytical and reporting support throughout the month.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related major (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) plus 3 years of experience, or 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL Server 2008, 2012, or 2019.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Python.
• Strong financial/business analytical skills and proven background with systems support.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong communication and writing skills to facilitate reporting efficiencies.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Essbase, and other Microsoft Office and financial applications.
• Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.
• Experience with Tableau, Databricks, Thoughtspot.
