Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Strong analytical mindset with expert knowledge of SQL and BigQuery, as well as BI tools such as DataStudio and Looker (LookML).
  • Expertise with Google Cloud Platform's distributed Data Science and Data Engineering tools (e.g. BigQuery, DBT, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines on Gitlab.
  • Experience working on a data science or engineering team, participating in scrums, sprints, and retrospectives.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to non-expert audiences.
  • Familiarity with media and media measurement is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (advanced degree is preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Focus on building, transforming, and helping to grow the strategic database architecture for large scale ETL products and services.
  • Leverage expertise in SQL, database architecture, and marketing knowledge to develop and deploy scalable solutions within the cloud.
  • Contribute directly to company growth goals by managing and executing robust and complex database engineering projects.
  • Act as Analytics Engineer (SME) in the delivery and development of database creation, transformation, and strategic oversight.
  • Deploy data products from existing proprietary codebase and work within multiple environments to stand-up new data driven features within databases like BigQuery.
  • Design tech infrastructure and data pipelines (ETL, data automation, data querying, etc.) when necessary.
