About the position

The Data Analytics Engineer position within the Business Enablement Team (BET) at META Reality Labs focuses on leveraging data analytics to optimize supply chain operations in the consumer electronics industry. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance channel performance, managing relationships with channel partners, and ensuring efficient product delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in data analytics, particularly in SQL and Tableau, and will collaborate closely with business leadership and engineering teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, maintain, build, and launch collections of data models, queries, reports, and visualizations that support multiple use cases for Channel and Customer Operations.
  • Lead data and analytics initiatives within Channel and Customer Operations and cross-functional squads, collaborating with engineers, business owners, solution leads, and data scientists to understand data needs.
  • Collaborate with data architecture teams to conceptualize large-scale projects, evaluating design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs.
  • Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze effects and troubleshoot issues.
  • Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
  • Mentor team members by providing and receiving actionable feedback.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with supply chain functions within customer operations.
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
  • Experience in developing and working with Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics.
  • Experience querying and displaying large data sets while maximizing workbook performance.
  • Experience interpreting technical or dashboard structures and translating them to complex business requirements.
  • Experience in building internal and external customer relationships.
  • Experience with Agile and/or scrum project management techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience with data processing automation, data quality, data warehousing, data governance, or data privacy.
  • Experience working with large scale data models.
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala, R, etc.).
  • Experience working in the high-volume consumer electronics industry, preferably in supply chain and operations functions.
