About the position

The Data Analytics Engineer will play a critical role in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets to support data-driven decision-making. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop data models, implement analytic solutions, and extract meaningful insights that drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, transform, and process large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to extract valuable insights from complex datasets.
  • Develop and maintain risk patterns to perform predictive analysis and support strategic decision-making.
  • Create compelling data visualizations to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark or Hadoop, to manage and analyze large-scale datasets.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and techniques in data analytics to implement the most effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and relevant regulations in all data analytics activities.
  • Collaborate across teams to translate business requirements into practical data solutions, supporting mission-critical operations.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance (required due to contract).
  • U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship (required by contract).
  • Willingness to support systems requiring 24x7x365 uptime, including participating in an on-call schedule.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with strong proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools and languages.
  • Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL) and knowledge of common software tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Jira, and VMware.
  • Expertise in Big Data and Cloud technologies, and familiarity with tools like Apache Spark and Hadoop.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently, supporting geographically diverse locations in mission-critical environments.
  • A Bachelor's degree (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
