About the position

The Data Analytics & Engineering Strategic Support Associate (SSA) role is a part-time position within Jackson's Strategic Support Program (SSP), designed to provide on-demand staffing to various departments. The SSA will support the Enterprise Data Platform infrastructure in the Azure cloud environment, prepare data for analytics, and develop reporting dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools. This role emphasizes collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver data-related services effectively.

Responsibilities

• Learn on the job using operating procedures and training documentation.
• Develop reports and dashboards and connect them to enterprise data sources using BI tools such as Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into mockups.
• Ensure compliance with the company's security and governance processes for data controls.
• Practice data engineering methodologies.
• Support business processes centered around excellent service delivery.
• Partner with architects and team members for effective collaboration.
• Receive training and mentorship from senior team members.

Requirements

• Must have completed two years in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with one or more modern programming languages.
• Knowledge of database technologies is preferred (e.g., Relational Databases, SQL).
• Ability to interpret and analyze technical processes and business procedures.
