About the position

The Enterprise Data and Analytics Governance Program Manager will oversee the enhancement, implementation, and management of data governance frameworks across the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with data-related regulations and aligning governance practices with organizational objectives. The manager will lead initiatives to operationalize data governance standards, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in data governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, enhancements, and continuous improvement of enterprise data and analytics governance frameworks.
• Drive the implementation and operationalization of data governance standards, policies, and procedures across the organization.
• Ensure adherence to data risk policy and procedures by collaborating with stakeholders and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Focus on mitigating data risk by designing, executing, and testing controls via well-defined procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance initiatives support business objectives.
• Develop and lead training programs to increase awareness of data governance practices and tools.
• Act as the escalation point for data governance-related issues and work with stakeholders to resolve concerns.
• Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data governance.
• Support the selection and implementation of governance tools and continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in data management, data governance, or related role.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Financial services industry experience including an understanding of related products and services.
