As a Data and Analytics Lead Engineer at Crowe, you will provide critical solution development across a broad portfolio of external clients and industries. You will leverage your functional knowledge and execution skills in SQL, SSAS, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, and other Microsoft BI stack products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL processes and technologies, as well as experience with a variety of data sources. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain complex ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into our client's data lake/warehouse. We prefer candidates with a strong client-facing, consulting background and business accounting/finance acumen. Additionally, you will need strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven track record in executing solutions from planning to delivery. Understanding basic agile methodologies and committing to the continuous improvement of your solutions is essential. In this role, you will join the Data Engineering team, which consists of synergistic, high-functioning problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience. The team thrives on helping clients solve their complex business issues accurately, creatively, and expeditiously. As a member of the Data Analytics team, you will provide meaningful contributions that uphold the team's dedication to “One Crowe.” Your role will be pivotal in promoting our success by providing an excellent client experience, timely delivery, and effective communication. Specific responsibilities include performing duties related to business analysis, such as scoping, documentation, project management, and establishing an engagement blueprint. You will interface and communicate with subject matter experts to assess business intelligence requirements and execution strategies. Rapid development of diverse POCs from various data sources and systems will be part of your tasks, along with cleaning, transforming, and blending large and disparate data sources while leveraging SQL EDW, M, and DAX best practices. You will also be responsible for identifying and mapping source data in various commercial and custom systems, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines, and troubleshooting and debugging these pipelines. Staying up-to-date on ETL technologies and best practices is crucial, as is mentoring and training junior ETL developers. You will maintain and present daily/weekly status updates and articulate project deliverable details to clients and project team members, adapting to various industries and quickly learning the client's context to document and translate business requirements into development plans. Balancing multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting deadlines and continuously improving processes with advancements in the MS BI platform will be key to your success.
