About the position

The Data Analytics Systems Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing data analytics and data science architecture. This role requires a strong background in data modeling and extensive experience with various databases and technologies, particularly in data analytics terminology and best practices. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the technical quality and viability of data analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Accountability and responsibility for data analytics and data science architecture.
• Accountability for the technical quality and viability of data analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both customer management and IT personnel, design effective IT solutions for business problems or strategies.
• Design effective Data Analytical solutions for business problems or strategies.
• Design and implement data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure technical quality, alignment with business unit and enterprise architecture, and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain data architecture and data integration solutions.
• Work with different databases and technologies, including Snowflake, Hadoop, and MPP technologies.
• Establish and implement data governance policies, security and integrity controls, protecting data assets and meeting business and regulatory requirements.
• Lead technology modernization initiatives to improve data infrastructure and capabilities.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and data management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working experience as Data Analytics Architect.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in Data Analytics.
• Proven experience in data warehouse data modeling and data architecture.
• Extensive experience with databases and technologies such as Snowflake and Hadoop.
• Strong understanding of data analytics terminology and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks and data security measures.
• Experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning platforms including but not limited to R, Python and other technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI, ML, and Gen AI technologies.
• Cloud certification, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
