About the position

CGI is seeking a dedicated and experienced Data and Analytics Engineer to join their team in Nashville. This role involves solving important business and technical problems as a full-time consultant for local enterprise clients. The position emphasizes a passion for learning new technologies and working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to both internal and client projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business partners to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
  • Design and implement enterprise Data and Analytics solutions for unique and complicated enterprise business problems.
  • Develop, document, and implement data models for transactional systems and/or reporting solutions ETL for analytics solutions and data migrations.
  • Create data analytic and reporting solutions using technologies such as Oracle Cloud, PowerBI, or Tableau.
  • Participate in solution design and architecture reviews.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse group of clients, team members, managers, and domain experts.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize business needs, analyze requests, and recommend solid technical solutions.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, and steadfast attention to detail.
  • Experience developing enterprise, full lifecycle Data and Analytic solutions with hands-on experience in SQL, ETL, data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
  • Expertise in building reports across multiple platforms, preferably with Oracle Cloud reporting technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience building end-to-end data and analytics solutions in data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience designing reporting and transactional models in various database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, AWS RDS, RedShift, PostgresSQL, MySQL, or Snowflake.
  • Experience planning and conducting complex data migrations.
  • Understanding of Master Data Management tools and processes.
  • Software development experience in languages such as Java, .NET, or Python.
  • Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, and/or Javascript.
