About the position

The Data and Analytics Intern position at Worthington Steel is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in analytics and data-driven decision-making. Interns will work 40 hours per week during the summer and a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year, focusing on business-driven projects and gaining valuable professional skills. The role emphasizes collaboration with analytics teams and presenting findings to senior leadership, while also incorporating a community service component.

Responsibilities

• Build custom analyses and dashboards to drive better decision-making in the business and to maintain a high level of stakeholder satisfaction and adoption.
• Work closely with business champions and analytics team to develop appropriate strategy and application of analyses and analytic solutions.
• Build strong relationships with leaders across the business to identify and understand opportunities to address using analytics.
• Support the growth of analytics and the continual advancement of an organization's analytic culture.
• Stay current with emerging trends in analytics to maintain a strong understanding of tools, applications, and practices as they relate to business applications.
