About the position

The Data and Database Project Lead at Metropolitan State University of Denver is a part-time role focused on supporting the C2 Hub team in managing and enhancing career engagement management platforms. The position involves data maintenance, reporting, data visualization, and communication with various stakeholders. The role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and have a strong background in data management and analysis, with opportunities for professional development and academic credit for students.

Responsibilities

  • Support C2 Hub team in regular data maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Pull reports from databases and analyze engagement data.
  • Create data visualizations for internal and external use.
  • Prepare presentations for review and distribution.
  • Handle incoming requests from the team's email and workflows.
  • Manage external inbox and communication via written, phone, and in-person methods.
  • Compile monthly partner newsletter for review.
  • Support database framework management and organization of project tracker.
  • Research solutions to gaps and concerns within the system.
  • Assist in building and maintaining the platform interface.
  • Maintain, review, and record data in MSU Denver's CareerLink database.
  • Prepare, send, and compile data from post-event surveys.
  • Attend, staff, and potentially facilitate events during 'all hands' calls.

Requirements

  • Experience with data entry, database use, and/or point of sale systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with visualization and presentation software like Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Familiarity with virtual platform technology such as Zoom and MS Teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to provide creative ideas for event improvements.
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to travel around Auraria campus for marketing material distribution.
  • Previous database and/or point of sale system management experience.
  • Interest in data informatics and visualization.
