About the position

The Data and Integration Engineer position is focused on analyzing detailed requirements to build and implement high-quality data pipelines. This role involves integrating these pipelines with Data Quality Frameworks and ensuring governance through data dictionaries and metadata. The engineer will also develop or consume web services for data integration and orchestration, perform data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment, and maintain connectivity to various databases and sources, including cloud environments. Additionally, the role requires contributing to on-call staff coverage throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems in terms of detailed requirements.
  • Build and implement high-quality data pipelines using Data Management tools.
  • Integrate pipelines with Data Quality Frameworks and capture Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure each pipeline includes built-in governance and metadata.
  • Develop or consume web services for data integration and orchestration needs.
  • Perform data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
  • Understand RDBMS concepts and maintain connectivity to various databases and sources, including cloud.
  • Contribute to 24x7x365 days of on-call staff coverage.

Requirements

  • Experience with Linux/Unix, Oracle, Perl/Python, PL/SQL, AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Object Oriented Programming, Python, Linux, and JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop, test, and maintain code using appropriate software development methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with Business Analysts or System Analysts to develop detailed system designs and test plans.
