About the position

The Data and Research Analyst at Goucher College plays a crucial role in supporting the AVP of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and the Director of Institutional Effectiveness. This position focuses on leveraging data to enhance student success, improve institutional processes, and support strategic decision-making. The analyst will be responsible for automating reports, developing data systems, creating dashboards, ensuring data integrity, and administering surveys, all aimed at fulfilling the college's mission and meeting reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and automate federal and state reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Develop and maintain data systems to generate accurate reports for Census, federal, and state requirements.
• Create institutional dashboards that capture key metrics necessary for accreditation and annual reporting.
• Ensure data integrity by standardizing metrics and participating in the data governance process.
• Create and administer surveys to gather insights for institutional strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Three years of data analytics experience required.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Excel, Qualtrics, and statistical computing (SPSS, STATA, SAS, or R).

Nice-to-haves

• One year of experience working with accreditation data in higher education.
