About the position

The Data and Systems Analyst role is designed for a technically skilled individual who will act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions. This position involves translating complex business requirements into actionable specifications, ensuring that system implementations are efficient and accurate. The analyst will engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and drive business success through effective database management and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level business requirements into precise technical specifications and detailed user stories.
• Document complex business processes by creating comprehensive technical requirements for accurate system implementation.
• Conduct pre-deployment quality assurance to ensure solutions meet all requirements and adhere to industry best practices before release.
• Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Write and optimize queries using Microsoft Transact SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for technical requirements, process flows, and system designs.
• Lead and facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and discuss technical solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement solutions that meet evolving business needs.
• Perform data analysis and modeling to identify trends and support business decision-making.
• Ensure technical solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a minimum of 2 years working directly with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Transact SQL, with proven experience in writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Experience in Tableau or similar data visualization tools, with a track record of building and maintaining impactful reports.
• Experience with requirements management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Demonstrated achievements in previous roles, with strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Adaptability in fast-paced environments, with a readiness to embrace change and meet evolving business demands.
