About the position

Apple Silicon is seeking a Data Application Engineer who will play a crucial role in delivering data-driven insights to enhance the development of future Apple products. This position involves creating and improving the data infrastructure, which includes setting up data pipelines, querying, and delivering curated datasets to engineering teams. The engineer will also be responsible for developing dashboards to visualize data effectively. In this role, you will provide insights through product performance reports and conduct statistical and machine learning analyses and modeling. As a Data Application Engineer, you will become a domain expert in data usage, availability, and structure. You will set up product performance tracking and reporting systems, develop and enhance dashboards to visualize insights, and improve the database and data pipeline processes. Your analysis will focus on semiconductor product performance, and you will collaborate closely with semiconductor product and test engineering teams to understand their data needs and develop effective data delivery solutions. Additionally, you will work with infrastructure teams, including Database Administrators (DBA) and IT, to ensure the proper functioning of all data pipelines and maintain the health of the data warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Be a domain expert in the data usage, availability, and structure.
  • Setup the product performance tracking and reporting.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards to visualize and provide insights.
  • Improve and enhance database and data pipeline.
  • Provide analysis and insight of the semiconductor product performance.
  • Collaborate with semiconductor product and test engineering teams to understand data needs and develop data delivery solutions.
  • Work with infrastructure teams, including DBA & IT, to ensure proper functioning of all data pipelines and health of data warehouse.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data analysis and data engineering.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with database management and data pipeline development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in semiconductor product performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud data services and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
