About the position

66degrees is seeking a Senior Data Architect for a remote contract position lasting over 5 months, with the potential for extension. The role involves spearheading the development of the client's data platform, managing data architecture, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring compliance with data integrity and privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the development of the client's data platform.
• Deploy and manage data architecture for easy data usage and analysis.
• Optimize data pipelines to enhance performance.
• Implement solutions to meet various data needs.
• Ensure systems uphold data integrity and privacy regulations.
• Document solutions including architectures, pricing, and technology design considerations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or data infrastructure.
• Expertise in Azure cloud platform, especially Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in building, monitoring, and logging systems as part of data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python programming language and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling and schema design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
