About the position

The Data Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of data solutions, ensuring that logical designs translate into physical databases and that data flows effectively through various stages. This role involves addressing data migration issues, establishing data governance practices, and providing technical leadership for projects. The Data Architect will also be the primary point of contact for technical delivery issues and will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful data management and integration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Data Governance meetings to provide guidance and advocate for business success.
• Work directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects, and Vendors to validate requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation.
• Create logical designs for Databases, Data Warehouses, and Multidimensional Databases, including data flows and models.
• Serve as a consulting resource for Delivery and Support teams.
• Create strategies and recommendations for future data and technology policies.
• Collaborate with team members to build optimal database and data integration infrastructures.
• Establish Data Architecture Design Patterns and best practices.
• Stay forward-thinking on new technologies and patterns, contributing to technology strategy and roadmaps.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Extensive knowledge of data warehouse and BI techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Synapse, and ADF Data Pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Data modeling and Database Design.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data.
• Understanding of Azure Database Security, including Encryption and Role-based Access control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Background in computer science and database management.

• Experience with data governance practices.
• Familiarity with data administration and integration.
