About the position

The Data Architect role involves designing and implementing data architectures to support large-scale data warehousing and analytics. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to define project scope, manage databases, and ensure data security and compliance. The role is hybrid, based in Tallahassee, FL, and is expected to last for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and gather requirements.
• Design and implement data architectures using Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and related services.
• Manage Dedicated SQL Pools in Synapse for large-scale data warehousing.
• Design, implement, and manage databases using Azure SQL and Managed Instances.
• Develop and manage ETL processes with Synapse Pipelines.
• Implement data governance and maintain data catalogs.
• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance data models.
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Research technology solutions and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 4+ years in Synapse Analytics, Dedicated SQL Pools, Azure SQL, and Managed Instances.
• 5+ years in T-SQL (DDL, DML) with strong stored procedure development.
• 4+ years in data architecture design.
• 3+ years in data governance and security compliance.
• 3+ years in managing large data pipelines and integration.
• 2+ years in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure).
• 1+ year experience with Python or Scala, Salesforce, Message MQ, and MuleSoft.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Certifications.
