About the position

The Data Architect/ETL Engineer role is a permanent, full-time position based in Sandy Springs, GA. This position is designed for an experienced professional who excels in dynamic environments and is dedicated to delivering innovative data solutions. The primary focus is on leading the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex data systems, ensuring effective data structuring, storage, and utilization to support organizational objectives. The role involves strategic design thinking and collaboration with both business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the company's leadership and stakeholders to understand the company's objectives and develop data strategies that support these goals.
  • Oversee the management and governance of the organization's data to ensure its accuracy, quality, and security.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and processes for data management and establish data governance frameworks.
  • Continuously evaluate new data technologies and trends to improve the organization's data architecture and integration.
  • Identify and solve data-related problems, troubleshooting issues with database systems and making adjustments to improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance of the company's data management practices with relevant laws and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related work experience, including data architect and ETL development responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of data principles and technologies, with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
  • Technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, Azure, AWS, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools like Matillion and experience in integrating new data sources into the Data Warehouse.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Experience working in a Dev Ops/Data Ops environment is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with artificial intelligence language tools for job description enhancement.
