About the position

The Data Architect at Hakkoda will lead architectural discussions and design exercises to facilitate the large-scale migration of data for clients. This role requires technical expertise in analyzing system requirements and implementing effective migration methods across various database platforms. The position emphasizes both leadership and individual growth within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural discussions and design exercises for data migration.
• Analyze system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data.
• Develop database migration solutions to ensure effective and secure data storage.
• Optimize new and current databases and data pipelines.
• Guide clients and project team members as a key point of contact for direction and expertise.

Requirements

• 6+ years of proven work experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
• 3+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, Mathematics, MIS or related field.
• Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT ingestion pipeline with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion.
• Project management skills and experience with Scrum and Agile Development methods.
• Ability to develop actionable and measurable insights.

Nice-to-haves

• 6-12 months of experience working with Snowflake.
• Understanding of Snowflake design patterns and migration architectures.
• Understanding of Snowflake roles and user security.
• Understanding of Snowpipe and other Snowflake capabilities.
• SQL scripting experience.
• Cloud experience on AWS, with Azure and GCP as additional skills.
• Python scripting experience.
• SAP experience.
