About the position

The Data Architect Manager at EY will lead the design, development, and governance of data architecture within the Industrial Products team, focusing on the manufacturing sector. This role requires a strong understanding of data technologies and aims to create scalable, effective, and secure data solutions that align with business objectives and support enterprise-wide data initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standardized practices for delivering new products and capabilities using Big Data technologies, including data acquisition, transformation, and analysis
  • Interact with senior client technology leaders to understand their business goals and deliver technology solutions
  • Define and develop client-specific best practices around data management within a Hadoop or cloud environment
  • Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion, processing, and provisioning layers
  • Design and develop data ingestion programs to process large data sets in Batch mode using Hadoop, Spark, Azure Synapse, and Databricks
  • Develop data ingestion programs to ingest real-time data from LIVE sources using Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, and related technologies

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in data architecture and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of Hadoop Ecosystem components and Hadoop Administrative Fundamentals
  • Experience in the development of Hadoop APIs and MapReduce jobs for large scale data processing
  • Hands-on programming experience in Apache Spark using SparkSQL and Spark Streaming or Apache Storm
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, or MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Spark and Kafka integration with multiple Spark jobs
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud services like AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Solid understanding of ETL methodologies in a multi-tiered stack
  • Experience in converting business problems to technical solutions considering security, performance, and scalability
