About The Position

Our client is currently seeking a Data Architect - IV to join their team. This position is hybrid, requiring 8 days per month in the office, with flexibility for other locations including Washington DC, San Diego, CA, NJ, and other Verizon locations. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in data management and architecture, with a strong background in software development and coding in various languages such as C#, .NET, and Java. The Data Architect will collaborate with other professionals to determine both functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications, ensuring that all aspects of development are defined from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards. The role involves creating high-level product specifications with a focus on system integration and feasibility, as well as using tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interfaces of the desired product. The Data Architect will communicate concepts and guidelines effectively to the development team, oversee the progress of the development team to ensure consistency with the initial design, and provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers. Additionally, the architect will ensure that the software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility, and will approve the final product before launch. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being a plus. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in data management and data architecture, along with proficiency in SQL, Python, and data scraping techniques. Strong understanding of data security and corporate security policies and regulations is essential, as well as excellent documentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment are also critical for success in this role.
