About the position

As a Senior Manager in the Data Architect role within the Life Sciences sector at EY, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of Information Strategy and Management. Your expertise will be essential in helping organizations modernize their information management approaches, particularly in the areas of Master Data Management, Data Governance, Enterprise Data Management, and Knowledge Management. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Life Sciences Research and Early Discovery (R&ED) data and analytics to provide clients with innovative solutions that address their key business challenges. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, delivering high-quality professional services while managing client engagement teams and driving business development activities on strategic accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for leading large-scale client engagements, fostering relationships with client personnel, and ensuring the delivery of quality services within expected timeframes and budgets. You will monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep key stakeholders informed about outcomes. Your ability to stay abreast of current business and industry trends will be crucial in providing valuable insights to clients. Additionally, you will be tasked with mentoring junior consultants, cultivating business development opportunities, and developing thought leadership to enhance EY's brand in the data management space. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue and developing client relationships at the executive level. You will also need to be willing to travel extensively, as travel is estimated at 80%. Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagement teams and deliver professional services to a variety of clients.
  • Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed about outcomes.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to junior consultants.
  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Assist in the strategy and implementation of Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Enterprise Data Management.
  • Develop thought leadership in data management to strengthen EY's brand.
  • Stay updated on current business and industry trends relevant to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with approximately eight years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with approximately seven years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in consultative services focusing on information strategy, big data architecture, and data governance in a life science or healthcare setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern information management concepts and practices.
  • Experience with modern information management tools such as Talend, Collibra, and AWS.
  • Proficiency in advising clients on the full data supply chain from data wrangling to analytics consumption.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and developing new prospects at the executive level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Engagement leadership experience, including managing junior consulting staff and client relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, IT, or Engineering preferred; MBA desired.
  • Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with big data platforms and cloud services like Snowflake and Azure.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
