About the position

The Data Architect position at EY focuses on providing consulting services in the Life Sciences sector, specifically in information strategy and management. The role involves leading client engagements, managing teams, and developing innovative solutions to enhance data governance and management practices. Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagement teams and deliver professional services to a variety of clients.
  • Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels and ensure quality client services.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed about outcomes.
  • Manage client service delivery expectations and maintain high-quality work products.
  • Stay updated on current business and industry trends relevant to clients' businesses.
  • Motivate and manage diverse client engagement teams, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks for business development.
  • Assist in the strategy and implementation of Master Data Management, Data Governance, and other data management practices.
  • Develop thought leadership in data management to strengthen EY's brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with approximately eight years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with approximately seven years of related work experience.
  • Minimum of six years' experience in consultative services in information strategy, big data architecture, and data governance in a life science or healthcare setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern information management concepts and practices.
  • Experience with modern information management tools such as Talend, Collibra, and others.
  • Proficiency in advising clients on the full data supply chain from data wrangling to analytics consumption.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and developing new prospects at the C-level of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Engagement leadership experience, including managing junior consulting staff and client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel, with an estimated travel requirement of 80%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, IT, or Engineering preferred; MBA desired.
  • Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with big data platforms and cloud services like Snowflake, AWS, and Azure.
  • Experience with data and systems architecture, including APIs and messaging.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
