About the position
The Data Architect position is focused on designing and developing database solutions, particularly in the context of big data and relational database management systems (RDBMS). The role requires extensive experience in database architecture and development, with a strong emphasis on various database technologies and programming languages. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, indicating the need for a trustworthy individual in a sensitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop database solutions for big data and RDBMS.
- Architect and implement database systems using technologies such as Greenplum, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Db2, and Oracle.
- Utilize programming languages including Python, R, and JavaScript for data manipulation and analysis.
- Create and manage ETL processes using SSRS/SSIS and Ansible.
- Develop scripts in UNIX and Linux Shell for automation and data processing.
- Work with JSON and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with databases and data architecture.
- Strong experience with database design and development.
- Proficiency in big data technologies and RDBMS.
- Experience with Greenplum, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Db2, and Oracle.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SAS.
- Experience with UNIX and Linux Shell scripting.
