About the position

Take2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to support the FBI's Resource Planning Office based in Washington, DC. This position is critical as it involves working with a team that is responsible for managing and reporting on essential data for FBI leadership. The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in a hybrid work environment, primarily located at the FBI Headquarters in Hoover Building. The successful candidate will be part of an agile development team that is currently engaged in a significant system migration project from Oracle to PostgreSQL, which has been ongoing for the past two years. This role requires a hands-on approach to both technical and functional aspects of data architecture, ensuring that the data systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with the agency's resource management processes. The Data Architect will be expected to collaborate closely with the business intelligence and analytics team, providing support in gathering requirements and conducting technical testing. This position demands a strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting and implementing solutions in production environments, ensuring that the data architecture meets the high standards required by the FBI. The role also requires a Top Secret clearance, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved. Responsibilities

  • Support the FBI's Resource Planning Office with data architecture and analytics.
  • Engage in hands-on technical work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Informatica, and PL/SQL.
  • Assist the business intelligence and analytics team with requirements gathering and technical testing.
  • Participate in the migration of systems from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
  • Implement and troubleshoot data solutions in production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Top Secret Clearance required.
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of SQL, including data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL processes and PL/SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience with data warehouse concepts and relational databases.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical testing, implementation, and troubleshooting in production environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Informatica.
  • Experience in developing and providing guidance on test plans, test data, and test results.
