About the position

ICF is seeking a skilled Data Architect with expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies to design and implement scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions. This role focuses on data collection, ETL processes, and analytical reporting solutions, supporting the Department of Transportation. The Data Architect will work within a dynamic agile team, providing technical architecture and development support, while ensuring effective data governance and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical data architecture and development support in a dynamic agile team working closely with the DoT client.
• Support development of ETL activities for data migration utilizing MS Azure cloud services.
• Support data modeling and analysis to enhance search functionality through natural language processing solutions.
• Develop effective data governance and lead technical resources, monitoring risk, quality, security, and adoption.
• Participate in and lead technology evaluations, proofs of concept, client demonstrations, and educational presentations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills while coordinating technical requirements with executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical strategy champion for data architecture, resolving program issues and answering questions.
• Author required documentation, briefings, SLAs, and technical standards for the architectural runway.
• Coordinate with other architects and technical leadership across program teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
• MS Azure certification required.
• 5+ years of experience in data architect roles with data migration development using MS Azure, Databricks, DataHub, and Synapse.
• Solid understanding of large scale platform deployments with a successful delivery track record.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud, service-oriented, platform-based application technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in building natural language processing solutions.
