About the position

The Data Architect at Inspira Financial is a pivotal role responsible for the development and implementation of a robust data architecture and state-of-the-art supporting services for a greenfield multi-tenant platform. This position requires close collaboration with engineers and teams to ensure that engineering choices align with the business vision. The Data Architect will design, develop, and foster technology innovation, creating specifications for new products, services, applications, and service offerings. The role involves providing technical oversight and data architecture solutions to large, strategic, complex multi-tenant system and application development projects, typically at the product level. As a thought leader within the organization, the Data Architect will lead the design and development of the platform's data architecture, which includes data models, databases, data warehouses, and data integration solutions tailored for healthcare administration. This role necessitates collaboration with business stakeholders, product managers, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. The architect will apply deep knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and HITECH, to ensure compliance and support healthcare administration workflows effectively. The Data Architect will also architect data management strategies and best practices for a complex environment, focusing on multi-tenancy considerations, data partitioning, data security, and data governance. Responsibilities include designing and implementing data integration solutions for seamless interoperability with external systems, identifying opportunities for performance optimization, and establishing data governance policies to ensure data quality and consistency. Additionally, the role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation and providing guidance to junior data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement data security measures and access controls to protect sensitive information.
  • Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including data architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Provide guidance to junior data architects and engineers, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect, particularly in healthcare administration.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as DP-203 - Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, DP-300 - Database Administration, and AZ-301 - Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies.
  • Proven experience with multi-tenant platforms and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, data warehousing, and data integration technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Strong understanding of data security principles and compliance requirements in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for designing scalable data solutions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
