Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal as it involves working independently as the sole data scientist on the team, leveraging strong communication skills and prior experience to collaborate effectively with both development and management teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data solutions that ensure the client's information is stored effectively and securely, analyzing system requirements, and implementing migration methods for existing data. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and a forward-leaning attitude, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that have a direct mission impact. In this role, you will support a client with multiple application teams that manage a portfolio serving as the central repository for all client-created applications. This includes state-of-the-art systems on cloud and physical platforms, utilizing products such as AWS, Oracle, SharePoint, and other web-based solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass developing data and metadata policies and procedures for structural design and development, monitoring industry trends in database technology, and providing technical direction for the maintenance of major existing databases. You will also be tasked with overseeing the design, evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of major databases and metadata structures, ensuring integration with corporate data standards. The portfolio you will work with includes various applications, such as a custom production application for the search and discovery of sensitive internal documents, a workflow and research application for candidate management, and a targeting and knowledge management tool for centralized product storage. Your role will involve strategic planning for new designs, diagnosing and resolving complex data infrastructure problems, and providing comprehensive assessments of technical proposals to optimize database performance. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and offers a competitive salary range of $122,200 to $220,900, depending on experience and qualifications.
