Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal as it involves working with multiple application teams that support a portfolio serving as the central repository for all client-created applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data solutions that ensure effective and secure storage of information, analyzing system requirements, and implementing migration methods for existing data. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with both development and management teams. In this role, you will be the sole data scientist on the team, leveraging your strong communication skills and prior experience to provide technical direction and oversight for major databases and metadata structures. You will develop and present technical recommendations, monitor industry trends in database technology, and oversee the design and implementation of new data standards and databases. Your responsibilities will also include diagnosing and resolving complex problems related to data infrastructure, ensuring integration with corporate data standards, and providing strategic advice on optimizing database performance. The portfolio you will support includes state-of-the-art systems on cloud and physical platforms, utilizing products such as AWS, Oracle, and SharePoint. You will be tasked with developing data and metadata policies, conducting risk and financial analysis feasibility studies, and ensuring that data incompatibilities among systems are systematically eliminated. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and performance of the client's data architecture, making it a critical position within the organization.
