Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative solutions through the efforts of a diverse and talented team dedicated to customer success. The Data Architect/Scientist will be responsible for developing data solutions that ensure effective and secure storage of the client's information, analyzing system requirements, and implementing migration methods for existing data. The position requires strong skills in PL/SQL, Java, AWS, BASH, and familiarity with Oracle and Linux, preferably with CENTOS or Rocky. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and experience as a database programmer, working independently while collaborating with both development and management teams to provide ad hoc solutions. In this role, the Data Architect/Scientist will support multiple application teams that manage a portfolio serving as the central repository for all client-created applications. This includes state-of-the-art systems on cloud and physical platforms, utilizing products such as AWS, Oracle, SharePoint, and other web-based solutions. The responsibilities will encompass developing data and metadata policies, monitoring industry trends in database technology, overseeing the design and implementation of major databases, and providing technical direction for the maintenance of existing databases. The role also involves strategic planning for new designs, ensuring integration into the database structure, and resolving complex data infrastructure problems. The work performed will have a direct impact on the mission, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
