Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the client's information is stored effectively and securely, and that system requirements are analyzed and implemented for existing data migration. The Data Architect/Scientist will be the sole data scientist on the team, leveraging strong communication skills and prior experience to collaborate with both development and management teams. The position involves working independently to develop ad hoc solutions that have a direct mission impact. In this role, you will support a client with multiple application teams that manage a portfolio serving as the central repository for all client-created applications. This includes state-of-the-art systems on cloud and physical platforms, utilizing products such as AWS, Oracle, SharePoint, and other web-based solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing data and metadata policies, monitoring industry trends in database technology, and providing technical direction for the maintenance of major existing databases. You will also oversee the design, evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of major databases and metadata structures, ensuring integration with corporate data standards. The portfolio you will work with includes a custom production application for the search and discovery of sensitive internal documents, a workflow and research application for candidate management, and a targeting and knowledge management tool that centralizes product storage for easy access. Your role will require you to develop methods to eliminate data incompatibilities among systems, diagnose and resolve complex data infrastructure problems, and provide comprehensive assessments of technical proposals to optimize database performance. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and a strong background in data architecture and database management.
