Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal as it involves working with multiple application teams that manage a central repository for all client-created applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data solutions that ensure effective and secure storage of information, analyzing system requirements, and implementing migration methods for existing data. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with both development and management teams. As the sole data scientist on the team, the candidate will leverage their communication skills and prior experience to provide ad hoc solutions that have a direct mission impact. The portfolio of applications includes a custom production application for the search and discovery of sensitive internal documents, a workflow and research application for candidate management, and a centralized repository for knowledge management. The Data Architect/Scientist will develop data and metadata policies, monitor industry trends, and provide technical recommendations to the client. They will oversee the design and implementation of major databases, evaluate database performance, and provide strategic advice on new data standards and structures. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving complex data infrastructure problems, ensuring integration with corporate data standards, and planning new designs for database structures. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in a related field. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in data architecture, data modeling, SQL development, and database administration, along with familiarity with various programming languages and cloud computing technologies.
