Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Data Architect/Scientist to support an enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This role is pivotal as it involves working with multiple application teams that manage a central repository for all client-created applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data solutions that ensure effective and secure storage of information, analyzing system requirements, and implementing migration methods for existing data. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating with both development and management teams. In this role, you will be the sole data scientist on the team, leveraging your strong communication skills and prior experience to provide technical direction and strategic oversight in the design and development of databases and metadata structures. You will also be tasked with monitoring industry trends in database technology, developing and presenting technical recommendations, and overseeing the implementation of major databases. Your work will directly impact the mission by ensuring that the data architecture aligns with corporate data standards and supports evolving applications and business processes. The portfolio you will support includes a variety of applications, such as a custom production application for sensitive data search and discovery, a workflow and research application for candidate management, and a knowledge management tool for centralized product storage. Your responsibilities will also include diagnosing and resolving complex data infrastructure problems, ensuring data compatibility among systems, and providing comprehensive assessments of technical proposals for database performance optimization.
