About the position

As a Senior Data Architect at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunities, focusing on how information flows across systems. This position involves designing and implementing database systems that meet industry standards, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting and analysis. You will work closely with teams and external customers to develop strategies and solutions, while also advising on infrastructure buildouts. Your expertise will contribute to improving operational efficiency for the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement database systems according to industry standards.
• Review existing data architecture and determine specifications for new systems.
• Organize large datasets for effective reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with teams and external customers to develop strategies and solutions.
• Write and maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.
• Handle escalations and provide assessments or recommendations to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline with 12 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
• 9+ years of related experience in data architecture and design.
• Required certifications: Security+ (CompTIA) and DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment Certification.
• US Citizenship is required.
