TMC Technologies is seeking a Data Architect Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in providing IT support services to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), specifically within the Information Technology Applications and Data Division (ITADD) and the Enterprise Data Analysis Section (EDAS). This role can be performed from either the Redstone Arsenal facilities in Huntsville, AL, or customer locations in Chantilly, VA, and Washington, D.C. The expected start date for this position is September 30, 2024. The Data Architect SME will be responsible for the development of a Content Warehouse, which is a scalable, cloud-based repository designed to quickly format, enrich, analyze, and make data available to users. This repository will serve as a single location for rapidly parsing, indexing, and securing data for various mission-driven use cases, including Enterprise Search and Analytics. The role involves designing and developing solutions for complex data sets and leading the development of enterprise data architectures, strategies, and solution recommendations that align with business strategies. In addition, the Data Architect will lead the design of high-level conceptual and logical models that provide a cross-system and cross-functional view of data requirements. Establishing processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata is crucial, as is ensuring the accuracy, validity, and quality of this metadata. The position also requires providing leadership to system and local work groups, designing and building both relational and non-relational databases, and translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions. The Data Architect will review object and data models along with the metadata repository to structure data for improved management and quicker access.
