About the position

The Data Architect position at Tekshapers involves designing and implementing data solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms. The role requires extensive experience in data architecture, big data technologies, and cloud data migration methodologies. The architect will be responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions and ensuring data governance across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions using Databricks on cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain Lakehouse architecture using Databricks Data Engineering platform.
• Ensure data governance including lineage, quality, and cataloging.
• Migrate data to cloud platforms using tools like Azure Data Factory and Event Hub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data architecture solutions.
• Build Generative AI accelerators as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Databricks engineering solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Architecture and delivery on cloud platforms.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Big Data/Hadoop, database, and data warehouse architecture.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum of 12 years), or an Associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of equivalent work experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Lakehouse architecture, SQL Analytics, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Experience with cloud data migration methodologies and tools.
• Experience in data governance fields such as lineage, quality, and catalog.
