About the position

The Data Architect at GLOTECH, Inc. is responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that address complex business problems. This role involves developing a comprehensive data architecture that aligns with corporate data strategy and supports long-term business goals. The Data Architect will work closely with various teams to ensure data systems meet operational and analytical needs, while also focusing on data governance and quality.

Responsibilities

• Quickly get up to speed on existing data systems architecture
• Translate business problems into technical specifications of data systems
• Design new data systems that enable real-time operational use cases and analytical/historical
• Present, collaborate, and align business, data, and IT teams on optimal data solutions
• Lead data teams with the delivery of new data solutions including data modeling, database design, and data engineering
• Ensure data business Intelligence systems can meet the needs of the end users
• Demonstrated expertise on data governance, data interoperability and data integration patterns and approaches, as well as data observability, data quality, and data privacy best practices
• Lead our data teams with master data, metadata, and reference data management best practices
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture roadmap, aligned with the corporate data strategy

Requirements

• Expertise with data systems architecture including on premise (MSSQL) and cloud data systems (Google Cloud Platform)
• Expertise with data analysis using SQL (or python)
• Demonstrated expertise with data modeling including 3NF, star schema, snowflaking, data warehousing, and MDM
• Experience with BI systems
• Must be available to work onsite in Orlando, FL as needed
