About the position

As a Data Architect at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in transforming data management for the U.S. Air Force's Air Combat Command (ACC). Your expertise will help design and implement robust data architectures that enable efficient operations and support critical intelligence gathering and analysis activities. You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data needs are met and solutions are effectively delivered, making a significant impact on airpower delivery for national defense.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture solutions for big data processing and advanced analytics applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate data needs into actionable architecture solutions.
• Guide the team in defining, developing, and testing cloud solution components.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure requirements are met and solutions are delivered.
• Establish processes and lead technological innovation in data management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a data architect or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Experience with designing and implementing data architectures for big data processing.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques, ETL and ELT processes, and scripting languages like Python.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, data governance principles, and data security best practices.
• Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical disciplines.
• TS/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) domain and its unique data challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
