About the position

The Data Architect position at Lilly is a critical role focused on defining and implementing a robust data strategy and architecture for the new Advanced Therapeutic facility in Lebanon, Indiana. This facility will utilize cutting-edge technology for Gene Therapy Manufacturing, and the Data Architect will ensure that the digital and integrated production processes are effectively supported by a comprehensive data architecture. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital plant vision and roadmaps in collaboration with site stakeholders.
  • Influence site leadership on digital strategy to position technology as an enabler for strategic initiatives.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Design and oversee data integration processes to manage data from various sources.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for digital solutions that maximize value.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and evaluate trade-offs between usability and performance.
  • Provide leadership in the development and integration of IT solutions that support business processes.
  • Develop and update project plans, including activities and milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Masters in IT or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of work experience in pharma or equivalent environment.
  • Deep knowledge of Data Architecture and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of manufacturing/business IDS solutions (MES, Data and Analytics).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and guide teams on digital solution design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of plant operations to ensure digital solutions meet business requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
