About the position

Peraton is seeking a Data Architect to leverage expertise in data exploration, engineering, and ETL processes. The role involves architecting, developing, and deploying solutions for processing both structured and unstructured data into usable formats for long-term storage, search, and analysis. The Data Architect will optimize application-specific data stores and work with various data types while collaborating with teams and independently solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Explore, architect, develop, and deploy solutions for processing structured and unstructured data.
• Make recommendations to optimize application-specific data stores.
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data including data parsing, transformation, schema definition, and query/analysis.
• Maintain 24/7 availability of enterprise applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Develop and manage data pipelines.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to pass a polygraph.
• BS Degree or equivalent and 5 years of experience in programming and software development.
• Experience in analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of software systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Databricks.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and/or Spark.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
