About the position

The Data Architect at Pantheon Data will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture and management strategies to support the US Navy's HR IT infrastructure transformation. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture principles and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and secure data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders within the US Navy to understand and define data strategy, IT strategy, and data governance requirements.
• Assess, design, and implement data architecture and management strategies to support Navy's data initiatives.
• Develop data models and integration strategies to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of Navy's data assets.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT teams involved in data strategy and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to develop and implement data solutions that support Navy's business goals.
• Conduct data architecture reviews and assessments to identify risks and opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure data solutions meet Navy's security, compliance, and performance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
• Strong expertise in data architecture principles, data modeling, data integration, and data governance.
• Proficiency in data architecture modeling tools and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
