About the position

The Data Architect role involves collaborating with stakeholders and the development team to define project scope and requirements. The position focuses on designing and implementing comprehensive data architectures that align with the organization's business goals, utilizing Azure technologies. The Data Architect will manage SQL pools, design databases, develop ETL processes, and ensure data governance and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and development team to determine project scope and gather requirements.
• Design and implement comprehensive data architectures using Azure technologies.
• Manage and optimize Dedicated SQL Pools in Synapse for data warehousing and analytics.
• Design, implement, and manage databases using Azure SQL and Azure Managed Instance.
• Develop and manage ETL processes using Synapse Pipelines for efficient data flow.
• Implement data governance practices and manage the data catalog for quality and accessibility.
• Create and maintain scalable data models that represent the data landscape accurately.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Synapse Analytics, Dedicated SQL Pools, Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance.
• 5+ years of experience in DDL, DML T-SQL, and advanced stored procedure writing.
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture design principles and best practices.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance principles and compliance requirements.
• 3+ years of experience in integrating data from various sources and managing large data pipelines.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud computing concepts, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
• 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
• 1+ year of experience in Salesforce, Message MQ, and MuleSoft.
