About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Data Architect for a contract position in the financial industry. The role involves understanding and documenting technical and user requirements for Big Data and Analytics, designing solutions architecture, and specifying implementation solutions. The position requires collaboration with business and end users to ensure the architecture meets evolving strategies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical solutions experience.
• 5+ years of experience in relevant Big Data/Analytics areas.
• Experience with Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Teradata).
• Familiarity with Hadoop and other Industry Big Data Frameworks.
• Knowledge of industry vertical applications for Big Data/Analytics.
• Understanding of underlying infrastructure for Big Data Solutions (Clustered/Distributed Computing, Storage, Data Center Networking).
• Experience in deploying large distributed Big Data Applications.
• Experience designing, building, and operating cloud services in IT, Systems Integrator, or Service Provider environments.
• Experience in Requirements Engineering, Solution Architecture, Design, Development, and Deployment.
• Broad set of technical skills across hardware, software, systems, and solutions development across multiple technical domains.
• Demonstrated experience in real-world IT or other solutions environments, including creating a product or IT solution in Big Data/Analytics.
• Strong communication skills, including representing the company in industry standards organizations or technical forums.
• Strong technical team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop technical relationships with end-users, ISVs, OEMs, and Client platform architects.

Responsibilities

• Understand emerging and evolving strategy in partnership with business and end users in Big Data and Analytics.
• Document both technical and user requirements.
• Design a solutions architecture to meet those requirements.
• Specify an implementation hardware and software solution stack.
