About the position

The Data Architect role is focused on designing and developing the organization's data architecture strategy to align with business objectives and long-term goals. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical specifications, ensuring effective communication across technical and non-technical teams. The Data Architect will also evaluate data management technologies, implement data governance policies, and provide guidance during data-related projects, all while staying updated on emerging trends in data management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the organization's overall data architecture strategy to support business objectives and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Evaluate and select appropriate data management technologies and tools to support data architecture goals, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to present data architecture designs, proposals, and recommendations.
• Help to define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of data-related projects, including database design, data migration, and performance optimization.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data management and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organization's data architecture capabilities.
• Be an influencer with other resources in KTOS including Data Architects, Developers, and Enterprise Testers to help drive design, develop, and test based on the requirements given.
• Be an influencer with the Line of Business including Business Analysts and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to make sure business requirements are clear, concise and meet the need of the business.
• Be an influencer of programming concepts including program design, performance and execution and utilize this information as part of the mapping design process.

Requirements

• Industry experience with demonstrated success in Cloud implementation.
• Knowledge depth spans data ingestion to consumption.
• Ability to communicate at senior levels - simplify complex concepts.
• Demonstrated execution vs just theory.
